FABRIC HARVEST

The end of 2016 has me re-thinking my Fabric Collection.
How many of you have purchased fabric over the years and have a bountiful collection?
Do you remember these fabrics? Do you remember what you were going to make with them when you bought them?
I wish my stash looked this good. Having recently moved, I have fabric crammed in plastic bins, in boxes and cabinets. And yes some still in the plastic bag I purchased them in from Jo---'s.
It sad :(

How many of you out there have the same problem???
Email me, take a picture of your stash and let me see it.
In 2017, my goal is to become more efficient and organized in my sewing.
Maybe we can help each other.

Here's a organization challenge for the both of us.
I know it's the Holiday Season and we will all have company coming over for the next few weeks.
Have a Holiday Fabric Party, invite friends & family over for a fabric sorting party with light refreshments. Nothing to big, buffet style food and plastic bins and label the bins. Cotton, fleece, Flannel etc.. Place a sample of the fabric, on the outside of the bin for sorting.
Pull all of your fabric out of the corners and bins and let family and friends sort if for you.
You can even make it a game. The person who folds and sort the most fabric wins a handmade gift from you. Allow them to choose two fabric from what they've sorted. You can choose a quick project like a tote bag, pullover or lap quilt etc....
